Jewel Theatre gets 'mobbed'

Last week, the CABC ran the second monthly Cash Mob event and this time the Mob visited the Jewel Theatre. The manager, Rose Chapman, welcomed mobbers and gave them special deals of $25 gift cards for $20 and a $10 food special. Rose was ecstatic to have the group visit the theatre.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Cash Mob but was beyond surprised by it. We definitely felt the love! The Mob was happy to be there and the support they showed for our small business was great. What a fantastic and easy opportunity for businesses to see their customers supporting them. It also creates some great deals for the public - I hope to participate in the next few myself!”

We were happy to support The Jewel Theatre as it has long been a cherished piece of Stettler’s history. It has provided the community with great films, events, and a place to congregate for over 40 years. Under new management since 2014, the Jewel Theatre has continued to be a fantastic and vital part of our business community. They are currently providing one full-time and four part-time positions for local Stettlerites.

At the beginning stages of the COVID pandemic, the theatre had to temporarily shut down operations, however, they still provided the community with deliverable movie theatre popcorn through their ‘Popcorn Post’ program. Since reopening, they are showing new movies and hosting different events that we encourage you to check out. Remember to look to the Jewel for Christmas gifts for family and friends.
